Revelation 5:7-14

Revelation 5:7-14

Hebrews 1:3 states ‘Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High after He finished the work of obtaining Salvation for you and me.’  However, when John was observing the Throne, the Cherubim, the twenty four elders and God on His Throne, there was no mention of Jesus until the proclamation was made concerning The Lion of the Tribe of Judah being worthy to open the book in Chapter 5, verse 5!
Is it possible that when He does show up as a Lamb that had been slain with the seven horns and seven eyes (which we have learned from Chapter 5, verse 6 is the Church) that He has just returned with His Church in the Rapture and that is why He was not seated during this scene?  Notice that He is not just the Lamb that was slain, but also has the seven spirits with Him!  That would mean we, The Church, will be there witnessing Him opening the book.  I for one support this theory.
Since we are there with Him, we will have the privilege of experiencing one of the most powerful praise and worship services known to all creation!  Before we get to that though, let’s note how awesome this moment is; almost breathtaking for the twenty four Elders and the Cherubim.
At this point every eye is on Jesus as He approaches the Father Who is seated on His Throne; He then takes the Book from Him to initiate the breaking of the seals.  As He takes the Book all Heaven breaks out in worship and praise to Him, for they have waited for this moment, knowing what it means and how soon the events on earth are going to change.
Here in verse 8 there is something powerful; the vials that are full of the prayers of the saints.  That is you and me, so when we pray we should always be aware of this fact; our prayers actually do make it to Heaven and are being stored in these vials.
Living in an unjust world can be discouraging at times, however we need to remember that no matter what man does to us, God said He would take vengeance for us.  When the vials of judgment are poured out during the Tribulation, we will actually see this in action for it is these prayers that are being used to judge the world.  That is justice to the fullest, so do not despair, God is on the Throne!
Seven years will go by very quickly and then the millennial reign of Christ will commence.  We will be so excited, anticipating seeing the plan of God finished that He started in the beginning before this six thousand year mess of mankind living with the devil hanging around.  As Romans 8:19 states, ‘all creation has awaited the manifestation of the Sons of God.’  Well, Angels are of the creation too!
Verses 7-14 take us through the scene we just described, as well as the great worship and praise service mentioned.  What makes this one so special is everyone and everything created will be involved in it!
We should be excited along with Heaven and living in great expectation of what is to come, soon and very soon!
