Revelation 19:16-21

Revelation 19:16-21

In verse 16 His name is written on His robe “King of kings and Lord of lords.”  Who are these kings and lords that He is King and Lord of?  Go back to Revelation 1:6 and you will see that this is us!
In verse 17 John now sees an Angel standing in the sun calling for the clean up crew, the flesh eating birds that have been prepared to come and eat at the great supper of God!
When we visited Israel in 2004, it was pointed out that a group of flesh eating birds migrates north to south, back and forth, over the valley which Armageddon will take place.  The number of these different species was increasing continually.  Notice also that this is all being stated prior to the battle.
In verse 18 we see just as God is no respecter of persons, neither are these birds.  The list of people they will partake of includes every level of political, social and military class of persons being their main course.

Mankind makes such a big deal of their positions in life; however, they will all lay dead just the same.  Much like the church, many make a big deal of who we are or who we know, yet when the time comes and we all stand before Jesus, we will all hit the ground the same!

Verse 19 is setting up for the Battle of Armageddon, the gathering place in the Valley of Megiddo.   The beast system (Islam), the anti-christ and many nations will be represented at this conflict.
Pride and controlling power can be so foolish.  They really think that they can actually oppose God!  So they are all arrayed for battle against our Lord.
Verse 20, just imagine the fear and weakness that will be felt when suddenly your fearless leaders, the anti-christ and the false prophet are take captive immediately and are gone from your presence.
These two were so controlled by satan that they instituted the mark of the beast and the worship of the image of the beast.  The Bible says that the false prophet was able to perform miracles in the presence of the beast. One thing about the kingdom of darkness to be aware of is; deception is the key to their allusions of power.
These two are not even kept imprisoned until the Great White Throne Judgment.  They bypass all that and are cast immediately into the lake of fire.  For those that don’t know what the lake of fire is but only know about hell, let me explain.  Hell is the holding place for all those that reject Jesus.  All of those being held there and hell itself will all be cast into this lake of fire at the end of The Great White Throne Judgment.
It is said to be a very hot place.  Just when we thought hell was bad enough, it gets worse.  That is why it is so important that anyone that has not given their life to Jesus to be their Lord and Savior, really need to think about this place of suffering for eternity and realize they could be wrong about what they believe!

In verse 21 the armies that set themselves up against Jesus, the King of kings and the Lord of lords get to experience something that many in the church have not understood and that is the power of the Word of God.
It says here that these armies were slain by this Word coming out of the mouth of Jesus.  Ephesians 6:17 and Hebrews 4:12 shows us that we have the same sword in our mouths toward the kingdom of darkness when the Word of God is transformed from Logos (the written Word) to Rhema (the revelation of the voice behind the Word coming out of our spirits into our mouths and being spoken).
This verse reiterates that the birds are going to gorge themselves on the flesh of these fools for Psalm 14:1 states that ‘a fool says in his heart there is no God’!
